In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded 4 Daytime Emmy Award nominations. McCain was also a Daily Mail journalist after her three-year run on The View. She also penned four books The Story of My Dad John McCain in 2008 Dirty Sexy Politics in 2010 America You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom alongside Michael Ian Black in 2012 as well as Bad Republican in 2022.
