Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents, who have a doctor for teeth and a school teacher were supportive and encouraged by her early love for drama and theater. She initially hoped to be a monkey expert was replaced by a desire to learn about drama and theater. Her meteoric rise as an actress in her early years was rapid and accompanied by her early successes. In 1998 after her studies, she took part in an French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning her acting career in earnest. Tautou was raised in a Catholic family and attended religious services, despite having attended school at The Institut Catholique de Paris. In addition to her acting profession, she has was also interested in modelling. She was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Alongside her acting work she also has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some photos at Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. Audrey Tautou's global success and fame soared after her performance as Amelie Poulain's main actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box-office international success, and received accolades at awards galas around the globe. It remains the highest grossing French language film to be released in the US. The success of this movie has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, including British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
